EV Charger Installation in Broken Arrow & Tulsa
Modern Electric LLC (Oklahoma License #00161761) installs Level 2 home EV chargers and the dedicated circuits they need for homes in Broken Arrow, Tulsa, and the surrounding area.
What we do
- Install Level 2 (240-volt) home chargers in garages, carports, and driveways
- Run a dedicated circuit sized to the charger and your vehicle
- Install 240-volt outlets for plug-in chargers where appropriate
- Check whether your panel and service have room for the new load
Does my panel have room?
A Level 2 charger is a large continuous load. Before installing one, an electrician looks at your existing panel, service size, and other major loads like HVAC, ranges, and dryers. Some homes have plenty of capacity; others may need load management or a panel upgrade first.
Planning the install
Think about where you park, where the charging port is on your vehicle, how far the charger will be from the panel, and whether you might add a second EV later. Permit and inspection requirements depend on your city and the scope of work, so confirm them before installation.
What to have ready when you call or text
Tell us your location, the charger model if you already have one, where you want it mounted, and a photo of your electrical panel if possible. Hours are Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm Central.
Service area
We are based in Broken Arrow and serve Tulsa and nearby communities such as Bixby, Jenks, Owasso, Coweta, Sand Springs, Sapulpa, Glenpool, Catoosa, Claremore, Wagoner, and other towns within about 75 miles of Broken Arrow.
Common questions
What is the difference between Level 1 and Level 2 charging?
Level 1 uses a standard 120-volt outlet and charges slowly. Level 2 uses a 240-volt circuit and charges much faster, which is why most EV owners choose it for home charging.
Do I need a new panel for an EV charger?
Not always. It depends on your panel, service size, and existing loads. An electrician can do a load assessment to see whether your current panel can handle a charger.
